Eleanor Flaherty is a documentary film maker/producer, photographer and artist, based in the Swansea Valley in South Wales.
She specialises in the production of documentaries, especially of films that have sociological, heritage and cultural interest. She is passionate about people’s stories, of preserving them and presenting them in a way that educates and inspires.
She takes much inspiration from the landscape and history of her native South Wales and creates films to celebrate the rich cultural and mythological history of the area.
Her photography is also inspired by the landscapes on her doorstep. The sculptural sweep of the Brecon Beacons, the texture of the rocks and stones and the ever moving pattern of the rivers and lakes.
She has a wealth of experience of working collaboratively in a community setting, running projects that result in professional productions that bring together people of all ages and backgrounds.
