Current Projects
Kaleidoscope Abercraf
I'm currently in the early stages of production and filming for the Kaleidoscope Abercraf project with The Sleeping Giant Foundation. This project brings together younger and older members of the community to look at the changes in Abercraf over the last 100 years.
We've just finished all the workshops at the schools and lots of great information and photographs have been collected. I will be out filming over the next couple of months and again the support for this has been fantastic. The film will be released in June 2012.

This project is funded by
The Heritage Lottery Fund
Grave Tidings - Time Between Times
I've just finished performing with the master storyteller Owen Staton in his newest show 'Grave Tidings', a series of storytelling evenings over Halloween.
It's always a pleasure to work with Owen as we have a similar fascination with the darker, older stories. We had a fantastic turnout at all the venues we performed in, from Llangiwg Church (on a very wet and misty night), Dylan Thomas Theatre to my old haunt at Ystradgynlais Welfare Hall.
We will be meeting up soon to start discussing the next project, but if you can't wait until then, Owen is continuing his Tawe Tales series and it's well worth a night out to be transported by his stories. And the book 'Tales from the New Inn' will be out soon!
20th November, SGF Winter Fest, Abercrave Miners' Welfare Hall
1st December, 7.30pm, Coelbren Welfare Hall.

Art & Design Foundation
Not content with graduating with an MA last year, I'm now back in Uni at Swansea doing an Art & Design Foundation Diploma. Those who have known me for sometime know how much I've been going on about doing it for years so now, finally I'm there!
My reasoning in going back to 'school' is that I want to develop my creative practice and not get too stuck in my own way of doing things. It's great to be around lots of creative people and to be pushed to work in very different ways. Am currently getting to the end of my first term and will have to decide what to specialise in next term. Fine Art or Photography... it will be a difficult decision!
Future Projects
Voices of the Stones
I'm really excited that this project is going ahead now I've been successful in gaining funding from Glasu, who also funded 'The Horse'.
The project is open to people of all ages from my local community and will encourage people to engage with their environment through the eyes of our standing stones, creating a narrative through film, photography, music and animation of the stories that those stones could tell if they could speak.
I will be contacting interested people over the next couple of weeks to get workshops started with myself, storyteller Owen Staton and artist/animator
Dave Marchant. Please get in touch if you want to be involved in this project which will run until the end of summer 2012.
